　　Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the challenges of starting a career after graduation. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.

　　We are facing numerous challenges in this competitive world and there is no exception to college students who have just entered their early adulthood. They tend to meet various challenges as soon as they graduate.

　　First of all, they are confronted with a difficult question: should they continue to study or start right away with the job seeking? Many students see the transition from school to work as a tremendous setback because they are unready for it, meanwhile some others students are wondering whether pursing further education is worthwhile. Secondly, for those who have successfully secured a job in the workplace, more challenges are waiting for them. As the knowledge that college students have acquired in class is often not applicable in the field of employment, they are inclined to be stressed-out when facing demanding job responsibilities.

　　Here are a few measures that they can take. They should identify their interests as these offer clues to whether they are suitable for working as a scholar and what careers fit them best. They should also reflect and work on personal shortcomings, like difficulty in communicating or collaborating, so that they can handle their first job easily.
